Part Thirteen - The beginning of the conflict and the formation of Satan

 

One of the important qualities of God, which the Bible tries to prove, is His truthfulness. (Compare Ro 3:4) Faith comprises of both belief in God's existence and God's truthfulness. But if we truly believe in the Bible's affirmation, we will again have to correct our opinion of the meaning of certain events which happened at the beginning of our history. These events are quite complex and, unfortunately, very briefly described. This makes the substance of this section quite challenging.

 

Satan whose name is JHVH

Up to the present day, Christians have not revealed the fact that under the concept 'God' (also Jehovah God) used in the Bible, different communities of various beings are hidden. Therefore, for Christians it is quite inconceivable that Satan might not just have had access to these communities, but was also part of these communities and even acted under their holy name. So, when interpreting the Scripture, Christians find themselves in completely irresolvable situations. In 2 Sa 24:1 we read:

"And again the anger of Jehovah [1] 1 was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them, saying, 'Go, number Israel and Judah'."

This offence (it was an act forbidden by the covenant) was followed by harsh punishment. The fact that David was really inspired by Jehovah/Yahweh is said openly by ASV. Some translations try to avoid saying it openly - of course. Somewhere else we read: "Now the Spirit of Jehovah departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from Jehovah troubled him." (1 Sa 16:14 ASV)

Balaam's case is also "strange". At first, God forbids him to go to King Balak. Then God sets out the conditions and enables Balaam to go. (Nu 22:20:00) But when Balaam goes, God blazes with anger because of this - does God contradict his own statements? (Nu 22:22)

Moses had a similar experience - the Lord persuaded him and painstakingly prepared him to the challenging task in Egypt, sent him on the way, but then He looked for a manner to kill him! (?) (Ex 4:24). These texts show that (even within the Jehovah of hosts) fierce disputes over the People of God were resolved in heaven.

Conflicts caused by Satan! Rebelling angels of the first heaven were not a part of JHVH.

 

The first lie?

In the description of the situation in Eden we find the plot similar to the previous:

And Jehovah God commanded man, saying,: "Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat. but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." (Ge 2:16, 17, ASV)

"And the serpent said unto the woman, "Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as God, knowing good and evil." (Ge 3:4, 5 ASV)

Satan is generally regarded as a liar, and it is considered that he was behind the serpent and that he lied to woman in this conversation. But it is not possible.

Note : If we want be consistent, we cannot call Satan as Satan at that time. Neither does the Bible - the Bible call this creature 'Satan' after the flood, more specifically, in the book of Job. So, let us call this creature the 'Future Satan' (FS).

The serpent could not lie; a lie has relevance if and only if the lie is not exposed at least as long as the liar wants to maintain credit and effectively make us of that lie. If the serpent had openly lied against God's statement, only Eve would have accepted his words as the truth (and just for a short while). The Person, who was behind the serpent, would immediately have been revealed as a liar in front of the whole heaven. Thus he would have been discredited completely and the his career would have ended.

 

God, who cannot lie

The Future Satan, while he was a part of the JHVH structure, could not lie, because he had to meet its criteria. He was cast out of this structure because he failed to meet these criteria when he was definitely exposed as a liar. But that was done after about 4000 years through Jesus Christ. (John 8:44)

Note : God does not change! He had to respect the criteria of truth both at the beginning of our history as well as today. This was not the only contradiction in the behaviour of God in Eden, but as we could see, it was the first such case.

And indeed - the fact that the "serpent's" promise to Eve had been fulfilled, although she felt deceived, was also confirmed by Jehovah:

And Jehovah God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil; ..." (Ge 3:22)

FS lied in something else and the life of Jesus Christ proved him guilty of lies. It still did not refer to the promise in Eden. So, the problem is more complex than meets the eye. But what was the purpose of the promise in Eden and why was it not a lie when the promise claimed exactly the opposite of what had originally been said? Did Satan back this promise at all? The answers to these questions will require a somewhat broader explanation. Let's start with the identity of the FS and see what the Bible tells us about his identity.

 

Guarantors of our creation

Cherubs were guarantors of the entire process of creation. They had extensive experience in this area - they were involved in the creation of the first heaven. One of the guarantors of creation and education of man was a cherub, who later became the infamous 'devil'. This was our future Satan. We know that this cherub was anointed during his activities in Eden, because Ezekiel writes about him:

"Thou wast the anointed cherub that covereth: and I set thee, so that thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; ..."  (Eze 28:14, ASV)

This is very important information - the explanation that FS was the ultimate authority in the 2^nd heaven. This guarantor was not just any cherub, but one of the highest ranking. But he was not King, because the later Isaiah vision explains:

"In the year that king Uzziah died I saw the Lord ... Above him stood the seraphim: ... And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is Jehovah of hosts: ... Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; ... for mine eyes have seen the King, Jehovah of hosts." (Isa 6:1-5)

In ancient symbolism, the size and position of figures shows their rank or social standing. The fact that seraphim are standing above the King means that they are somehow superior to him, and we know how - they are inhabitants of a higher 3^rd heaven. From the statements of Seraphs about the Lord's holiness follows that the King of the 2^nd heaven was desecrated by someone. Most Christians know that pre-human Jesus (let's call him 'Spiritual Jesus Christ' - SJK) was behind the creation of our world. (Col 1:16) This corresponds to the position of a (also anointed) king. The result is stunning for some people - the future anointed partner of future Satan must have been the spiritual Jesus Christ! They form an anointed pair, the King and the High Priest, in the 2^nd heaven. Based on this finding, we can state that it was exactly FS (because he had experience with the high priest) who was a guarantor of education, so he was also the author of the project - education in the form of the tree of good and evil, and the hard "punishment" for infringement of the ban - not to eat its fruit.

Attention : Do not transfer our earthly labour relationships to heavenly relationships. Cherubs were first and foremost expert advisors and guarantors. They were not the masters of angels. Cherubs were responsible for the accuracy of the project, not for the result of the work of angels of the 1^st heaven. For example, the result of work of the 2nd creation day did not win their approval (did not fit the project; Ge 1:7), and yet the work went on. Such changes were within the competence of angels, but were their own responsibility. Similarly, when creating man, unlike the other stages, the angels did not wait for instructions of cherubs and started the creation by themselves. (Ge 1:26)

 

"The serpents promise - a revolutionary concept

Note now that unlike similar communications, God's name JHVH (the Lord) is lacking at the point where the "serpent" was talking about God. Recall that a part of the angels of the 1^st heaven, supporting a single set of spiritual principles more like all upper heaven, named itself JHVH for serious reasons. Behind the serpent is God, who is not identified in the text by this name, and moreover, he claims the opposite of what Jehovah (Yahweh) said. FS was the God who knew that they would not die, and who knew, on the contrary, that their eyes would be opened. He offered Eve a much faster way to achieve this quality.

Note : Similarly, Satan was actually the God (even JHVH), who allowed Balaam to go, who prompted David to take a census, who called for the killing of Moses, etc.

He must have elaborated the strategy of this course theoretically - only the human desire to take this path lacked. It was not a denial of Jehovah's statement, but only the expression of different equal alternatives. Did violation of the prohibition of eating fruit belong to this new educational program? When making a more detailed analysis it is possible to determine what the new method was based on. It was acceleration of social development by two factors:

• Significantly greater independence and freedom - almost like the one with adults.
• Suffering and evil, the spiritual dimension which was not yet defined at that time.

Note : There was not much experience with evil. Evil in today's advanced forms (malice, cynicism, deliberate harm, etc.) did not exist. Evil (rather like an accident) was not spiritual (moral), but rather a technical matter. Even the concept of 'sin' simply means a missing of the objective. The non-presence of the goal itself does not contain malicious intent. This only confirms the spiritual purity of the former culture.

 

Educational methods - Education by punishment

After people, by their actions, expressed their desire to be like God, they delivered judgements of death on themselves, and thus fell firmly under the authority of the new concept and its author - he promised its withdrawal. It was not possible to back out of the chosen path. Jehovah (Yahweh) also had to respect "their" decision, followed by demonstrative sentences. However, the question arises - for what?

"Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception. In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children: and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee ... And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it:  cursed is the ground for thy sake: in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life. Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee: and thou shalt eat the herb of the field ...'"  (Ge 3:16-18)

Note that people "were guilty of" eating the forbidden fruit, for which the punishment was death, but they are punished for something completely different (in conjunction with something else) - for not fulfilling the tasks assigned to them [2] , or because they developed their efforts too slowly [3] . No penalties were been set for failure to fulfil or for slow fulfilment of these tasks - the manner of their performance was initially left to the free will of man. Moreover, the Creator considered the first humans to be immature and he definitely adapted his claims to their status. These punishments must have been enabled by the fact that people adopted the "serpent" offer.

Note : In this sense, people were inflicted another punishment, which is not specified explicitly (usually not considered as punishment), but fits very well into the context of events. For non-fulfilment of the task "Fill up the earth" people were punished by being given an animal sexual instinct - a kind of enslaving superstructure of wide human sexuality. Furthermore, from punishment of the serpent (Ge 3:14) it is clear how the seduction took place. The serpent climbed where he should not have climbed and ate what should not have eaten. (Ge 1:29, 30) - fruit of the tree of knowledge.

Generally, punishment should be a remedy to something. People embraced [4] this concept due to cunning lies [5] and in this sense, these sentences were fair. The goal of punishment was really to remedy the condition of humans - "to open eyes". In addition, people made themselves equal to adults (gods), and therefore suddenly had to take on full responsibility for their actions. Punishment has forced people to develop faster. It forced them to increase their activity, to exercise care in their life and to greater responsibility. It also determined the emergence of two rival dynastic lines (seeds). These lines, according to prophecy, started to be in implacable hostility: 

"Between you and the woman will put enmity, and between thy seed and her seed. It shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." (Ge 3:15, KJV)

Thus the required and sufficiently stress situation [6] was definitely induced. The experiment could begin!

Note : Although in this early period it was a key prophecy, it is worth noting that the entire Bible had not returned to it. Indirectly, perhaps Jesus only pointed to it. (Mt 23:33) This prophecy failed in some way. Nobody expected that its completion would take so much time (it should have been met by the end of the 6th day), and not much was lacking and would not have been fulfilled at all (the entire human population should have been destroyed in the flood). Its late fulfilment has to occur - it is crucial today!

God of the new path was trying to induce an atmosphere of fear in the first humans and to make them feel guilty - despite the fact that the serpent did not lie; their act went against the Lord's ban [7] . In accordance with the theory of the new approach, he tried to stress people - to wake them up to activity by shock. At the same time he offered them almost complete independence [8] , which should have gradually brought them, inexperienced and unprepared people, further suffering. On the other hand, exactly these factors should have enabled the acceleration of their development. This God, according to the promise by the serpent, forcibly "opened the eyes" of people - "helping" them quickly understand what is necessary in life - and, figuratively speaking, "taking a stick to it".

 

The role of the future Satan

Christian tradition simplified this story; it says that Eve was deceived and blamed by Satan. But was the future Satan really the actor of events in Eden? The Bible comments on this cause very briefly - the serpent was the seducer of Eve and thus the identification ends. Can description of the circumstances then find out exactly who was behind the serpent? The attentive reader may have noticed the paradox that the High Priest of cherubs, not only as future Satan, but even later, as Satan remained a part of the JHVH community, occupying (JHVH community) the original concept. Might it be that Satan was not the author of the new concept? It is obvious that he could not have been an actor, and officially neither initiator of this concept, nor its author! He was very careful. He intervened in the events only academically - after the collapse of the whole event he went out of it seemingly spotlessly. (Eze 28:15) The term 'spotless' indicates that he was "taken" for responsibility by no one. On the contrary, he was the plaintiff. (Pr 27:11) He dominated the scene only from behind the scenes - very cunningly and well thought-out. Only the book of Revelation openly suggests that Satan was behind the tempting of the first humans. (Re 12:9)

 

Actors of a new way of education

As mentioned before, the entire process of creation on Earth was performed by angels of the 1^st heaven. Their powers were very wide - the act of creation was primarily the business of the 1^st heaven and not of the 2^nd heaven. The High Priest as a guarantor was responsible only for the accuracy of the educational project. So, one can rightly believe that developers of both creation and education, which was a part of this process in the 6th day of creation, was the 1^st heaven. The Bible really mentions these angels, who at the end of the 6^th day of creation were very risky, almost suicidal. (Ge 6:4; Juda 6) Why?

This group of angels probably tried to save the unsatisfactory development of new concepts by adjusting genes. Their sons Nefilim, human hybrids, known as Giants (KJV), the mighty men (ASV), ces héros/heroes (FLS), die Helden/heroes (GEB), Gewaltige/violent (GLB), great heroes (GNB) - unlike the rest of humans. There is no indication that they would hurt, rather the opposite. However, the angels exceeded their authority and despite all their efforts (but also some thanks to this), humanity has found itself on the brink of destruction, the repercussions of which it is still struggling! They had to be direct actors in the new concept and naturally they tried with every means to save not only the results of their work, but also the impact of their failure, for which they felt responsible. The apostle Paul explains that they will be brought before a human court. (1 Co 6:3) They committed an offence against humans.

 

Two lines

Although all mankind set out on the path of rapid development, it was necessary to compare the achieved results of the experiment with something in order to carry out research and to evaluate the results. It is logical that two types of conditions were created: one condition that fully met the needs of the new concept and a second condition that was close to the original concept. Although Adam had other children, the Bible has been pursuing only these two correlation lines - the line of Cain and of Seth; Set should replace (and this is important information) Abel. (Ge 4:25, see NWT)

The Abel line was destroyed by his death [9] . Seth's family became aware of its position, because after the birth of the firstborn (apparently promised) son, they started to worship the Lord. (Ge 4:26, KJV)

The line of a new concept (Cain) was probably encouraged to resist against the LORD. This whole situation quickly bore fruit.

 

The Cain bloodline

The Cain offspring produced people with extraordinary abilities. This nation first needed to secure itself against the danger of competing lines. Cain started with securing himself immediately, at the first opportunity - when he tried to win over his rival - Abel. (Ge 3:15; Ge 4:8)

Note : At that point it was not possible to be clear who was from what seed. Abel tried to get God's favour by obedience - he was doing what God commanded him. (Ge 1:26) Cain did things more smartly - to win God's favour by offerings was perhaps his invention and then it had to have a practical sense - Gods were physically present! There is no indication that people burn their offerings. Cain would probably have wanted to hit the head of Abel since God was ultimately more favourably inclined to his brother's efforts. According to one, and hence very influential prophecy, the seed of woman has to attack first [10] . Cain probably did not want to kill Abel. He did not know that this prophecy would be filled in the distant future; it would be the climax of a space dispute. Like early Christians he did not know how great the distance of time separated him from the second coming of Christ. (This is an attempt to reconstruct the whole case.)

Only after this event, the identity of the seeds began to be apparent. Cain realized that he was the accursed seed, and thus he began the construction of the city. (Ge 4:17) In ancient times, the city was primarily made of walls - Cain thus wanted to secure his family. The Cain descendant Lamech is also characterized by a strong need to insure his own safety. He showed considerable ingenuity in doing so, even though his logic was not yet mature. He thought that murder would provide him similar protection as Cain. (Ge 4:24) Members of this line became independent more quickly, and therefore their pride grew also - that they are so self-sufficient. This people did not rely on God. They were brought to the role of outsiders, and this fact probably stimulated their defiance, ambition and frantic efforts to prove that they were better. They developed more rapidly in other areas also. The Bible mentions that they discovered the benefits of shepherdry, metallurgy (better tools and weapons), and even musical instruments. The force behind Cain's nation's development was the sense of threat and an induced environment of competition.

 

The Set bloodline

On the other hand, in the case of the descendants of Seth, only the fact that they adhered to God is mentioned. Enosh (worshipping of JHVH), Enoch (lived in fellowship with God, GNB / walked with God, ASV), Noe (lived in fellowship with God). Gradually they realized that they were the blessed seed of the woman (Eve, a man according to the original concept). These people, as can be seen, are not so independent - they were not looking for support in themselves but in God, and are probably even lazier. This method after all proved more successful - "kids" need their parents. Descendants of this line later began to show themselves as "men in whom he is well pleased" (Lu 2:14) or as 'children of light', unlike the so-called 'offspring of vipers' (Mt 3:7, Mt 23:33), or the 'children of this world', who in turn do not like goodwill or show evil will.

 

Predetermined fight of good and evil

Today's humans are largely mixed blood of these two lines - people have their good and bad "self". The majority of mankind, therefore, can be affected positively (but also negatively) [11] . Revelation predicts that the spiritual development of these lines will continue to develop: "He that is unrighteous, let him do unrighteousness still: and he that is filthy, let him be made filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him do righteousness still: and he that is holy, let him be made holy still." (Re 22:11, 12 ASV)

The new educational concept undoubtedly had its positive aspects - its "children" are or have been [12] more efficient in practical life. They keep in step with the reality of life, unlike the sons of light, often living in almost naive imagination and relying on omnipotent Higher Justice. In accordance with the oldest biblical prophecy, these two groups of mankind (two genes) are, consciously or unconsciously, in constant conflict - the conflict of good and evil. This explanation makes sense to those texts that some theologians made in the past to establish the doctrine of Predestination (conditioning) of human destiny:

"...that the purpose of God according to election might stand, ... Thou wilt say then unto me,  Why doth he still find fault?  For who withstandeth his will? ... ... Or hath not the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much long suffering vessels of wrath fitted unto destruction: and that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he afore prepared unto glory, ..."   (Ro 9:11-23)

Genetic predestination did indeed exist, but in the case of individuals it is not irreversible.

 

Cosmic consequences of the experiment

At the time of the creation of man [13] the Gods of the 1^st heaven were divided into two camps. There was a likely dispute which program should have been followed when educating humans. The new concept was prepared well in advance - on the 2^nd day of creation waters were uplifted in the Earth's orbit for emergency needs. The creation of man was initiated without the instructions of cherubs, which also indicates a change. However, it was guaranteed. (Ge 1:31) Some of the angels did for some reasons [14] not agree with the new concept (eventually it had to be enforced by a trick) and they returned to the original plan, originally stipulated by higher heaven.

Note : Therefore the name of Jehovah/Yahweh also applies to all higher levels of heaven. The whole structure of JHVH consistently takes the original concept of education and management of the society - it has the same moral standards.

Later it separates, identifies itself with the name Jehovah (Yahweh) and supports the Seth line, in victory of which it believes.

 

Twilight of the Gods - the emergence of Satan

This experiment (as it is known) ended very tragically. The new concept in general has shown success, but ended by a collapse of moral values. This collapse was so catastrophic that FS, at the time of the flood, rejected to blame the new concept. Sometime in this period of history he brought a charge against the Lord - the realization team of JHVH association (1^st heaven) with SJK [15] as guarantor of creation. Jehovah/Yahweh (here 1st heaven) accepted the accusation with regret over his work and was ready to destroy it. Therefore the higher heaven intervened in the situation and the extinction of humans was warded off [16] . 

But FS started to resist this decision of higher heaven, and thus becoming Satan (in English opponent). And from that moment, Satan has tried to prove his accusation at any price (Job 1 and 2, Lu 22:31, Re 12:10). He appeared as the plaintiff of JHVH and defendant of unsuccessful providers of the new concept. A significant part of angels of the 1^st heaven took sides with him. (Mt 25:41) He felt that his role in the cause might be revealed soon, which could cross his plans.

 

Devil

After the long, painful journey of mankind, Jesus Christ with his life proved the untruthfulness of Satan's accusations. The genetic son of man proved to be really righteous. Even after this evidence Satan did not stop to oppose, and was, therefore, revealed by Jesus as the devil (in English slanderer). This disclosure in fact made his accusations mere rumours. (Joh 8:44; Joh 12:31; Re 12:10; he defames primarily JHVH - Pr 27:11). Therefore Jesus said about him to the Jews:

"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and standeth not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof." (Joh 8:44)

 

Conclusion

Today, people raised in the history of evil, after bitter experience with features such as pride, hatred, hypocrisy and selfishness, it seems incomprehensible how it was possible that the heavens so long suffered the conduct of the high priest who was over the cherubs. How is it possible that heaven continued to let him hold his office and did not reveal the depth of his lack of character? The basic reason for this is that until then there had been no experience with such a form of evil, before Satan nobody lied - he was named the father, or author of lies. Nobody will blame the High Priest - "Love...beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things." (1 Co 13:7 ASV) Indeed, the net everything is clean. For this reason were carefully searched answers to all objections raised by Satan. Moreover, the high priest himself went through a surprisingly intense [17] development and his thinking could not initially be as twisted as it is today. The direction of his development and response, which his actions triggered in the various levels of heaven, will be the theme of the next section.
